All of the papers and ribbon used on this card can be found at:

Mark’s Finest Papers- http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com

The stamp of the Santa face used on my card was borrowed from my friend Sharon. I love this image I think the face is beautiful. I colored just the face with Copic markers, the frame of the glasses was done with a gel pen and I used some crystal effect on the glass parts.

The acetate is cut to make a 51/4" X 51/4" card.

I used my CB and diecuts in 2 different sizes for the frame.I mounted the Santa image on the front of the card and the red matt is mounted right behind it on the inside. I did the same thing for the sentiment panel on the inside so that you cannot see any of the double sided tape that I used.

I used a sticker sentiment on the bottom, the snowflakes are from a MS punch and the glittery red centres are also stickers. To finish I added the beautiful red ribbon. Be sure to check out Mark’s Finest Papers- http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com you can find some great stamping supplies and stamps on this terrific new site.

I used Prisma color pencils and Gamsol to color. I love this medium but haven't used it in a while.

The sentiment is computer generated.

All the papers, ribbon and pearls are from Mark's Finest Papers. You can find these at www.marksfinestpapers.com

Stampin'B's Challenge #32

Hi all, the hostess for today's challenge is NR/NancyRuth. Thanks NR for the terrific challenge.

We are to make anything but a card.

Last week I noticed that one of the Christmas tutorials was for a Luminaria. I decided to do one but not with a kit.

The dimensions are:

2 pieces of 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" in white, I used 120lb. CS for weight. Score at 4" and 8" this will leave a small 1/2" flap to attach the pieces together.

2 pieces of 1" X 8 1/2" in light green, you do not need to score these yet

4 large outer Nestie Ovals - 1 medium plain and 1 large scallop

2 different edge punches

4 pieces of Vellum cut to 3 7/8" by 5" or just big enough to cover your die cut oval

glue or double sided tape

1 suitable image

inks or markers to colors

glitter embossing/Winter Wonderland

Using your CB you will cut 2 ovals in each of the white pieces, center the ovals in each of the folded sections.

Now you need to cut the scallop trim using 2 dies, the same one you used for the oval cut and a size larger scallop oval. You can put these on a piece of light green CS. You can then leave the dies in and embelish them.

These decorator scallops can now be glued to the outside of your oval cuts in the white panels. Make sure that you lay your pieces one 1/2" edge of your white CS on the right side and the other on the left side. This detail will be important when you assemble the Luminaria

Take your 2 pieces of CS in the white and the light green strips, you use a different punch for each. I used a MS punch on the 2 white pieces and a SU punch on the 2 light green pieces.

Attach the light green to the inside of the top section of the white punched section so that the white overlaps the light green.

Again make sure that you have your white pieces are facing the right way.

Fold all of your score lines, attach some double sided tape to the 1/2" fold and attach it to the straight edge of the other piece forming a box like shape.

Stamp your image 4 times, color and emboss with glitter EP "optional".

Cut out and attach with pop-ups for dimension.

I hope you enjoy my Luminaria, I chose to make it bigger and decorate it on all sides to use as a center piece. I used 2 battery tea lights inside and covered the flash when taking the photo so that you can see the lights reflection.

All of the papers used are from Marks Finest Papers found here: www.marksfinestpapers.com

Check out the rest of the teams cards at the Stampin'B's Blog found here: www.stampinbsdesignteam.blogspot.com

Do come and play along and remember to use the keyword StampinB to upload your card to the SCS Stampin'B's gallery.

We are to use white and one other color only.
I chose to use white and Olive Green
I used the Swissdots embossing folder on the bg panel.
The main panel was punched in the Olive Green as was the sentiment.
I used a MS punch on the bottom border.
The image and sentiment is a Flourish set called/Cottage Home.
As embelishments I used a grossgrain ribbon and some brads.

Stampin'B's Challenge #31

Our hostess this week is Faith/Markie's mom. We are to make a Christmas/Holiday card.

For my card I chose to use a digi image by Moe's Digital Pencil which you can find here:
http://digitalpenciltoo.com/
The image is colored with Prisma watercolor pencils and a small artist brush.
I used a River Rock marker to do the shadowing/footprints on the image.
I used a star punch by MS for the top of the main panel, I did it very irregularly to simulate snow falling. I then used some of the snowflake cut outs from the punching and added them to the top of the card. I then added some light blue gems to the snowflakes and on the main panel again to simulate snow falling. The bg is a dark blue cs.
The sentiment is a rub-on by Reminisce.
I really loved it when I noticed that the flash had reflected on one of the gems making it look like the North Star.

I hope you like this one, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Stampin'B's Challenge #30

This week's hostess is Joanne/Jojot, we are to make a Thanksgiving/Autumn card.
For my card I chose to do Autumn.
The CS is Whisper White and is a typical A2 card except for the one inch that is cut from the front flap. I used a piece of DP by Basic Grey/Indian Summer for the 11/2 inch strip on the inside, then I punched some leaves onto a piece of cs and used them as a template to sponge leaves onto the front and edge of the inside. I used some TH DI in Aged Mahogany.
The images are SU/Branch Out set. I used some markers in Fall colors to ink up the stamps. The sentiment is from a set by SU/Paint Prints.
That's all there is to it. I kept is very simple this week.

Make sure to visit the Stampin'B's blog to see all of the other members cards and to play along make sure you use StampinB as your keyword.

STAMPIN'B'S CHALLENGE #28

Halloween is nearing and our hostess for this week is the lovely Vicky Gould. Her challenge is for us to make a Halloween card.
I hunted high and low for my Halloween stamps, but they seem to be hiding really well because I can't find them. LOL
I put my thinking cap on and thought that I could use my Cricut machine and the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.
I first cut the tree in the card style mode in black, the top part of the pumpkin in white and finally the shadow for the pumpkin in black.
The sentiment is computer generated, the pumpkin is colored with Copics and the dp if by Basic Grey.
I added a pretty satin ribbon to finish the look.
I hope you like my simple Halloween card.

Our challenge this week is hosted by the fabulous Lois/Clownmom. The challenge is to make a gatefold card and use flowers.

I did a Christmas card using Basic Grey paper, Real Red, Sage Shadow and Whisper White.
The image is a die cut tag by Graphic45. They have the best Christmas tags.
You will find an easy video for Gatefold cards in the resources section of SCS.
This is a standard A2 size card.
I used red ribbons and a Pointsettia button "'this is my flower, Lois" as embelishments. The inside sentiment is by
Hero Arts/F4254Joys of the Season.

Stampin'B's Challenge #26

Our hostess for this weeks challenge is Nancyruth.
We are to use pumpkins on our card. I love carved pumpkins, so thanks Nancyruth for this challenge.
My card this week is super simple as I've had no time to stamp. Sob!....

I cut a basic A2 card and I started to add stickers at about the half way line on the front of the card, when I was done I just cut around the images to form the wavy line for the front flap. I added a strip of generic dp on the edge of the inside of the card. I just added some random stickers to fill out the card.
The sticker's are by Crafty Secrets.

Voila! that's it, all done.
I like that it was quick and I think it's super cute.

Stampin'B's challenge #25_Watercoloring

Hello! stampers, our hostess with the mostest this week is our very own
fearless leader Faith/Markie's mom.
Faith's challenge was to do watercolor on our project.

I chose to do a watercolored post-card.
The image is by Penny Black called Teddy & Company.
I used re-inkers and a small artist brush to do the watercoloring.
The tree is a seperate stamp so I had to mask off the bear image to stamp the tree on.
I love this little bear I think he's adorable.
I stamped the images in Palette Noir ink on a water color postcard by Winsor & Newton/Cotman. The paper is 140lbs cold pressed.

I hope you enjoy this watercolor, I like the way it turned out.

Today's hostes is Joanne/Jojot. The challenge is to make a humurous card. I was really glad to see this challenge as I don't make too many funny cards and this gives me the chance.
For my card I chose to use a gigital image by Mo's Digital Pencil. These are the best digital images I've seen. To see more go to: www.digitalpenciltoo.com
The image is watercolored using markers with a small artist brush and water.
This is my favorite thing to do, I love to color.

The designer paper is Wassail/Cranberry Sauce.
The sentiment is computer generated.

Stampin'B's Challenge # 23

The hostess for this week is "me", Nicole/ButterflyEars.

My challenge to my team mates and to you is to make a 3"X3" card box with 4 cards.
This can be in any styloe or if you prefer a bigger size you can. No rules remember. LOL

For the theme of my box set and cards I made 6 cards instead of 4, I chose Christmas. I will give this to my DAunt Kay who can use them to put with her gifts as tags.
For the box I used a gold paper with Merry Christmas embossed in all different languages.
On the flap I added 2 Nestie's circles one plain and one scalloped. I also added a magnet closure and a pretty ribbon.
,For the card I started with a white base, bright gold paper, colered with some vellem music paper. I added a thin brown ribbon and some really cute reindeer charms by Lost & Found that I purchased at Michaels.
The charms were silver so I embossed them, first by pressing the charm into Versamark and tthen embossing them in Pure Gold EP. I think they turned out pretty good.

I hope you enjoy this challenge and that you will come and play along. Make sure you use the key word "StampinB" so that we can all enjoy your cards.

Timeless Tuesday Challenge #32

This is my card for the FTTC32 challenge.
For this card I used a Flourishes set called Summer on the Patio.
This is such a versatile set, I enjoyed playing with it to decide on which images to use.
First I stamped the bottle and the glass at the hight of the table top, then I masked these images and stamped in the table and chair.
I added the sentiment to the top of the page therefore left the bottom sentiment on the sketch off.
I colored the image with Copic markers, I then used some Crystal Effects on the bottle and the wine in the glass. I love how this effect turned out.
The designer paper is by Basic Grey/Wisteria.
The silk flower embelishment was from the dollar store.
I hope that you like this little invitation card.

Our hostess today is the very talented Vicky Gould, her challenge to us was a color challenge, we are to use Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel.

MY VERY FAVORITES.....

Thanks, Vicky.

I received stampings of this image but I'm sorry I didn't mark from who, I colored these with Prisma color pencils and gamsol. I then cut the bouquet away from the first image and mounted it with pop-ups over the second image.
The sentiment is a rub-on by MSE, I love their rub-ons.
This card is 51/4" by 51/4",
The first layer is Chocolate Chip with a Close to Cocoa overlay.
The second is Creamy Caramel wich I popped-up over the first, I added some piercing here.
The third is the image matted with Creamy Caramel.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #31

Wow, it been quite a while since I've posted a card.

My apologies, I've been sick "enough said".

This is my card for the FTTC31 challenge. We are not to color anything on our cards.

So for my card I chose to use the ink to rubber "clear polymer stamp" technique.

The Flourishes set that I used for this card it called Thank You/set #33.

I first stamped the Shakespearian quote in India Ink/black, then I inked up this pretty tulip image with my markers, misted and then stamped onto whisper white cs.

The other colors used on this card are pirouette pink and basic black.

I sponged some color around all of the edges in pretty in pink, then distressed all of these edges and curled the corners just a bit.

I stamped the bg with a French script bg stamp in pretty in pink and the distressed this as well.

I then mounted everything onto basic black.

I added the satin black ribbon and Voila!

Hugs always, Nicole

p.s. it's nice to be back!!!

Stampin'B's Challenge #21

Stampin'B's Follow the List Challenge #21 for Aug. 28/09

Today's hostess is NANCYRUTH, her challenge was for us to use vellum on our card.

I stamped the image (unknown) onto vellum then turned it over and hand embossed with embossing tool.
I then cut the frame and stamped the image in India Ink again on River Rock.
The image on the RR was then cut and I pasted the vellum copy over it.
The bg is Basic Black with an overlay of RR embossed with the testile folder.
I added the silver leaves to finish.

I'm sorry if my explanation this week is a little short as I'm not feeling well.

Please do join us in the fun and play along at www.stampinbsdesignteam.blogspot.com

BE_Stampin'B's Challenge #20

Stampin'B's Follow the List challenge #20 for Aug. 21, 2009.

Our hostess today is Nancyruth Levine and her challenge to us was to use chalks on our card.

All images are by Creative Design Boutique/Rita Marie designer. This wonderful set is called
Flutterby Delight. I love the butterflies in this set, you can find them and many others at http://www.creativescrapboutique.com/showSection.aspx?Sectionid=1024&pagenum=2

For the chalk part of my card I did the background in pastel chalks "blue and pink", I used a piece of scrap paper and marked off different areas and then sponging on the chalks in streaky motions. I then used 2 different paisley designs from the same set and stamped them in Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue. I used some Versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP.

For the layout I used this weeks SC242 which I think is terrific.
The cs is Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Pretty in Pink.
On the 2 main panels I sponged on some Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue.
The flower is done with punches, prima flowers and a brad.
The butterfly was inked in India Ink/black and then colored with Copic markers, highlighted with 2 way glue and some Martha Stewart glitter. To finish my butterfly I added some gorgeous blue gems.
I also added the gems to the corners of the 2 main panels.
I finished off my card by added this beautiful pink polkadot ribbon.

Our hostess for today is our very own fearless leader
Faith Hotrichter/Markie's mom.
Our challenge today is to use 2 die cuts on our card.

This is my card and it's special it is for my son-in-law Alan. He a Native Canadian descendant and loves Native art. I chose to make this card for that reason.

For my 2 die cuts I used Nestabilities/circle plain+circle scalloped for #1 die cut and then I used Nestabilities/Inverted Scalloped square for the #2 die cut. On the sqare Nestie I left the die in place and sponged on some TH's DI in Weathered Wood.

All of the dp's are by DCWV/Once upon a time. The sentiments are rub-ons. The glittered flourish on the right bottom is part of the dp design.

Hello all,

This is my card for this week's Stampin'B's Follow the List Challenge #18 hostes by Joanne Grzelak.
Her challenge was to make a masculine sympathy card.

For my card I used a transparency image from Prickley Pear that I photo copied onto Very Vanilla in an eggplant color.
The first layer is Elegant Eggplant/River Rock/Very Vanilla. I embossed the Very Vanilla with a
SU folder called Manhattan Flower.
I used a SU sentiment from the set called Warmest Regards.
for the main image I matted the image in Elegant Eggplant and River Rock.
I added some brads above the sentiment and on the main image with some grossgrain ribbon tabs.

This is a nice and simple card and I think suitable for a male.

Stampin'B's Challenge # 16 for July 24th, 2009

This is my card for the Stampin'B's Follow the List Challenge, this is # 16 and is hosted by Vicky Gould.

Vicky's challenge is to make a tall card and not use any stamping.

My card is 7 1/4' X 4 1/4".

This was super easy and need little explenation, the sentiment and the flourish are rub-ons.

For the flower I cut 5 petal shapes in Basic Black, stacked them all together and punched a small hole in the end. I added a brad and over that I glued on a page pebble. I spread the flower on half way and fixed it to the card.

The dragonfly is cut on a Cricut with the Decor cartridge and I added some pearl for pizzaz. LOL

I used an edge punch and added three black brads.

That just about sums it all up, I hope you enjoy it. I think I will put this one away for our Anniversary.

BE_WT228_Charming

This is my card for today's Ways to us it challenge WT228.
The challenge was to use a charm on our card.
The Sun rays image and the sentiment are Unity's TOTM for July.
I stamped the sun in Mango and cut it out, I then used a petite scalloped Nestie and cut a small circle onto some dp that I had that had a sun face on it and cut that out too and pasted it over the sun image leaving just the rays. At the end of one of the rays, I punched a small hole and attached a heart charm.
The cs is all dp by DCWV/Once Upon a Time.
The sentiment is stamped in Bordering Blue and die cut with a CB and Labels Two die. I added a small blue brads to the top and colored the edges in Bordering Blue.
The dragonfly is done on a Cricut machine using the Decor cartridge. I added some light blue peals for effect.

Thanks for coming by and please come again.

Challenge at SCS/SC238 for July 22/2009

Today is my DH's BD and I thought that this would be the perfect card.
I love to do Wednesday's sketch challenge and this one is a great one. If you see this, thanks Roxie.
For the main image I used a SU set called Of the Earth. This is a new set for me and I'm loving it. The dp's are by DCWV/La Creme matstack, I love this paper.
I stamped the image using a stamp-a-ma-gig as I wanted the image to be really black, I ended up stamping it 3 times.
The card itself needs little explaining. To finish off my card I added black grossgrain ribbon and a small cream seed brad.
I love so see who's dropped by each day so leave a comment if you have time.

BE_C228_SCS Color Challenge

This is my first card for today's SCS_CC228 Challenge.

We are to use the colors Really Rust, Pretty in Pink and Not Quite Navy. The images are by Inkadinkado/Beauty Stems from Here and the sentiment is a rub-on. The image is colored with re-inkers, I stamped the image onto WW cs 2 times. The second time I just colored and cut the 2nd and the 3rd flowers from the bottom.

To finish I just added the pretty paper butterfly.

Hope you like this one.

This second card is a fun card. Pat Smethers sent me quite a few images of chickens and roosters as I love them so much. I used this one because the old rooster is doing the talking and the hen looked so frustrated by his comment. So I thought I would make him say:

What do you mean? Navy, pink and rust don't go together!!!

I colored the image with Copic markers except for the knitted sock that the hen is knitting, this I did with SU markers and then heat embossed in clear EP.

I hope that you enjoy these little endeavors of mine. Come again soon.

Hugs, Nicole

This is a very simple card but I feel it's also elegant.

BE_SC237_Of the Earth_The Greatest Gift

This is my card for today's SC237 challenge at SCS.
For the main image, sentiment and side panels I used a set that is new to me called Of The Earth by SU.
The colors that I chose for my card are Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa.
The main layer image was stamped in a shadow style, the first stamping was done in Sand and the second in Chocolate Chip using a stamp-a-magig.
For the second layer I used an embossing folder by SU called Elegant Bouquet and I used the reverse side up. I stamped my sentiment at the top of this layer.
To finish I added some CC brads on the main image panel. Nothing complicated just Clean and Simple.
I hope you like this one, I love the clean lines of this sketch.

BE_TLC229_Creative Design Boutique_Faux Grid Card

I hope that everyone had a terrific weekend, mine was busy with baby showers and bbq's.
This is my card for today's SCS_TLC229 challenge. We are to make a Faux Grid card.

For my card I'm using a cute clear stamp set by Creative Design Boutique/Rita Marie callenged
Make a Wish.
I spaced my grids one inch apart. I didn't have grid paper like they showed in the video so I just slipped my paper in my cutterbee and instead of cutting the lines I just marked them off with a pencil, I found this was really quick and very efficient.
I stamped the images randomly and colored them with Copic markers. I then used the Copics to color in the squared with different colors but in the same family.
Were there was no image in the joining squares I added some small brads in the same colors.
The bg pape is Pixie Pink and Bordering Blue, to finish I added a narrow yellow gingham ribbon.

I hope you like it, I had loads of fun doing it.
Hugs always, Nicole

BE_CAS22_Words to Live By_Creative Design Boutique

I think I'm starting to get the concept of making a Clean and Simple card.
I think....LOL
This is the card that I made for today's SCS_CAS22 challenge make a Birthday card.
I used an images and sentiment clear stamp set from Creative Desing Boutique called Words to Live By that you can find here: http://www.creativescrapboutique.com/
I colored the flowers with SU markers in Blush Blossom and Almost Amethyst and the leaves in Old Olive.
I then used a glue pen and added some glitter, unfortunately the glitter did not show up on the photo very well. It does looks awesome IRL.
To keep this simple I just added a pretty pink dotted ribbon.
I hope you like it and that I succeeded to keep it clean and simple.
Hugs, Nicole

BE_TLC228_For Creative Design Boutique

This is my card for todays SCS_TLC228 Challenge_Stand Up Card.

Good morning, I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend filled with Sunshine.

For this card I used images/Violet Garden and papers/Make a wish_Plaid by Creative Design Boutique. You can find these beautiful images and papers at: http://www.creativescrapboutique.com/

Today's challenge is to make a Stand Up Card, here is the tutorial and template: http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c191/d0npen/Card%20Templates/?action=view&current=StandUpCardtemplate.jpg

I colored the pretty flowers with Prisma pencils and gamsol, to the center of each flower I added some Stickles in a gold color. I then used the larges Oval Nestie that I have and traced a fine pencil line in the inner part of the oval die. I cut the oval leaving parts of the flower and leaves to sit out of the box. I used my CB and cut a plain oval Nestie in Pink Passion and a scalloped Nestied in Pretty in Pink. When assembling these I popped up the flower oval on dimensionals.

The bg is made up of a gorgeous pink, yellow and blue Plaid dp by Creative Design Boutique. The stand up folding part is Summer Sun. I added a pretty pale pink ribbon to finish my card.

Thanks for coming by and I hope to see you again.

Hugs, Nicole

BE_Stampin'B's Friday "Follow the List" Challenge for July 03/09

This is my my card for the SCS IC187 which was to use posters as inspirations.
This is the poster that I chose for mine http://www.posters.com/pv-444755_Poppies.html
I used a photo that reminded me of the Poem Flander's Field, this poem speaks of the soldiers that are lost in the war and that every poppy represents a fallen soldier and that we must never forget.
I printed the image onto WW cs then mounted this image onto Ruby Red. At the bottom of this Ruby Red matt I used a border die by Spellbinders which allows you to cut, emboss and pierce the desing. I think it looks terrific. The first panel is Old Olive which I popped-up my main panel with dimensionals.
I really love the way this one came out. REMEMBER!

This is my card for Friday July 03/09 challenge. The challenge is hosted by Faith today and it's to use metal somewhere on our card.

I am sorry for being so late posting this challenge card. There has been a lot of family stuff going on that has kept me busy.

This is an adorable little set by Sweet n Sassy called "Make a Wish". you can find this set at. http://www.sweetnsassystamps.biz/shop/

I stamped the owl in Chocolate Chip ink then colored him with SU markers. I then stamped the image again on a piece of textured brown cs and cut out and pasted the tummy part.

The image was then mounted onto Nestabilities circles cut from River Rock which I left on the die and sponged on some Purely Pomegranate for contrast, the scallops in Chocolate Chip and Purely Pomegrante.

This is where the metal came into play, I used it to hold my main circle to my card. I thought these brackets were so cute because the were shaped like little leaves.

For the bg I used River Rock and Purely Pomegranate and finished by making a sentiment using the same "Make a Whish" set onto River Rock and matting it in Purely Pomegranate.

I punched a small hole, threaded a thin simple Pomegranate colored ribbon and tied to the card.

I hope you like him, he's so sweet and makes a great masculine BD card.

Hugs always, Nicole

Challenge card for the SCS_TLC227, Faux Burnt Edges.

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was quiet and very rainy, so to cheer myself up I visited my favorite paper crafting store. Of course I bought something, a couple of new Spellbinders. Cheered me up right away....

This is my card for today's TLC227 Faux Burnt Edges at SCS.

For this card I used a beautiful and ethereal image of trees. I printed this image in Sepia on Very Vanilla cs. I tore the edges and sponged on some TH's Distress inks in shades of Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain. I love how this really does have that burnt edge effect.

The bg is Bazzil dark brown, Close to Cocoa and a script page. I attached the main image with some hardware brackets and the sentiment is computer generated and held with some hardware as well.

I love how this one turned out, I hope you do too? Let me know, I would love to hear....Nicole

Apopogy to Joanne Grzelak

I would like to apologize to Joanne Grelak. She is hosting today's Challenge at the Stampin'B's not Vicky.
Joanne challenge is to use Dry and Heat embossing.
Sorry, Nicole

Stampin'B's Friday "Follow the list" Challenge for Fridays June the 26th, 2009

This is for the Stampin'B's Design team "Follow the List" Challenge. The challenge is to do (dry and heat embossing) on your card.

The challenge was presented by our very own Vicky Gould today and all of the images used by all the team members in this challenge are by Sweet_n_Sassy/Owl Occasions set.

I made a 2,4,6,8 box for my little owl to sit on. The cs is Mellow Moss with a front panel of dp by Memory Box/Sugardrop. The flap of the box is cut and embossed with a Nestie Oval die on the CB. For the closure I punched two holes thru the box top and threaded a pretty white ribbon.

Now for the cute little owl, I first "dry embossed" a square of Very Vanilla with a Swiss Dots embossing folder. I stamped the owl in Chocolate Chip using the Thing-a-magig, reloaded my stamp with CC, Versamark and clear EP then "heat embossed" with hot gun.

I colored this little guy with copics, close cut and popped him up to look like he's sitting in the tree branches. To finish my owl I added some funny googly eyes.

I made a sentiment tag from the same Sweet n Sassy set using CC, Versamark and heat embossing it. I used a scrap piece of the Swiss Dots VV. Matted it in Mellow Moss. I attached it to the closing flap with an eyelet.

SO, pop on over to the Stampin'B's blog and play along, we love having you join in! HERE IS THE LINK: www.stampinbdesignteam.blogspot.com

Have great weekend, Nicole

BE_SC234_Heartfelt Sympathy

This is my card for today's SCS_SC234 challenge.
This is a sympathy card that I've made for a friend.
The sketch today is a great one and easy to work with.
The dp's are by DCWV and the stack is called La Creme. I love this paper and have used it quite a few times.
The card stock is SU Barely Banana and Bazzil black.
The sentiment is from a SU set called Warmest Regards.
To finish this simple card I just added a beautiful black satin ribbon.
I need to say that I am very frustrated these days. Everyday on SCS the day befores cards is deleted from my gallery.
This means that I loose this card from my gallery and all of the wonderful comments that everyone takes time to make.
I am extra careful at naming my cards and make sure that the code is correct.
I'm at my witts end and don't know what to do. I'm scare to go and look at my gallery for fear that another card has been deleted.
I've sent a contact us message to SCS and I sure hope that someone answers it.
Sorry for all of the venting, but I am really getting angry at this problem.
Hugs, Nicole

Challenges_CC224_FTT21

This is my card for the SCS_CC224 challenge and Flourishes Timeless Tuesday FTT21 challenge.

The colors for today's CC224 are Only Orange, Pacific Point and Summer Sun. I used a set from Flourishes called Summer Blossoms.

For the image I inked the stamp of the flowers with Only Orange and YoYo Yellow then spritzed on some water and stamped onto some hot pressed watercolor paper. I then masked the image and inked up the leaves in Mellow Moss and Gable Green, spritzed and stamped over the masked flowers.

The sketch for this card is from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. I really love this sketch and I enjoyed using it with the CC224 colors.

To finish my card I added some gem brads and a felt heart.

I hope you like this one?

Hugs as always, Nicole

My daughter Sheila's wedding....

These are two pictures from my daughter Sheila and her new husband Alan's wedding. The maid of honor is also my daughter, Terri. The ring bearer is my Grandson Bailey.

The first picture is of Chuck and I.

The day turned from raining and gloomy, to sunny and bright, just in time for the ceremony and taking pictures. I think that Sheila was a picture perfect bride in her beautiful dress.

Thanks for dropping by, Nicole
