This is my card for today's challenge at the Stampin'B's Design Team blog.
Joanne's challenge to us was to use : a border punch, circles, leaves and 2 brads.
For the main image I used SU markers to load my stamp image and then spritzed it with water. I then stamped the image onto watercolor paper. I stickled the bluebells at the bottom of the image for some contrast. I mounted the image onto a piece of bordering Blue that I had added the punched edging to. For the circles I used a plain embossed circle and a scalloped one. I stamped a butterfly in Bordering Blue, added some stickles to the wings and used 2 glass brads for the body.
I wanted this to be a clean and simple card. The main layers are: WW, Bordering Blue and Sage Green "you really don't notice the color change". The sentiment is simple also "enjoy life" which I accented with some pretty light blue dew drops.

ReplyDeleteI love the square card, Nicole. Even though I like the look of square cards, I'm somewhat hesitant to make too many because of the increased postage. But this is really pretty -- the ferns, the dew drops, and the many layers.
