WNY 2nd Gathering

Here are some pictures from the WNY Gathering, these are some of my table mates for the shoebox swap. I'm sorry but I have a terrible memory for names. The only person I know by name is Cheryl Rowley who is in the second row on the right side. I'm sorry that I can't remember the other names. I had a fantastic and busy time.
The potted paper flowers were made by bbscrapper_Barbara and was my fabulous gift in the gift exchange. Thanks Babara. All of the flowers are punched or cut and hand designed, the pot has a decoupage base "so pretty" and I even have some flower seeds to plant in my garden that will remind me of this day for years to come.
I would also like to thanks Jodi and all of her helpers for putting on such a fantastic gathering. This being the 2nd gathering let's hope that it turns into an annual event.

SCS Color Challenge 216

For the CC216 challenge at SCS today we were to use these colors:
Basic Black, Real Red and Olive Green.
I was not too sure about these because all I could think of was Christmas cards. But I think they look great together as a regular design too.
For my card I chose a sentiment by Cloud9Design/Simple Thoughts/Happy Birthday, the sentiment is by Oprah Winfrey.
The bg is a CB folder called Traffic Jam. The flower was from the dollar store, the dp from my scrap pile and the ribbon was a left over. So I think that I did well using leftovers.
The card is self explanatory so I will end my ramblings here.

Living Room Colors

In today's SCS LSC217 challenge were were to use colors from our home.

This is the color of my living room: Bordering Blue, Bazzil Chocolate The stamps that I used are by Inkadinkado/Garden Delight, I stamped the bg using SU markers in the above colors. The sentiment is by Flourishes/Many Sentiments, I also sponged the borders with the BB. For my main panel I used a Nestabilities/Labels Two in 2 different sizes, the lager in the brown and the smaller one in the Very Vanilla. I then sponged the VV one in the blue while the die was still in place. This gave me a perfect VV outline.

The butterfly is also by Inkadinkado/Garden Delight. I was first loaded with Versamark and Chocolate Chip, sponged on some blue, embossed with SU's Glassy Glaze Enamel. I then used a SU glue pen and added MS's Brillo glitter.

Tell me what you think? I so enjoy your comments.

Thanks for stopping by....

SC225_Yummy for my tummy!

This is my card for todays SC225 at SCS.

I really like this sketch and I knew right away that I wanted to use this cherry dp paper/KC & Company on it. The image is HM's/Fruity Fun. The coloring was done using Copic markers. The Real Red was use for the matting and the base is Very Vanilla.

To finish this cutie I used a shinny red ribbon and a ticket punch on the corners of the main panel.

So what do you think?

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Good morning, this is today's card for the CC215 challenge at SCS.

The colors were to be Pirouette Pink, Red Rose and Basic Grey

For the main image I chose stamps from Inkadinkado/Garden Delight.

The image was stamped on WW in the huffing technique using the CC colors, I also sponged some PP around the edging of the smaller oval. The dragonfly was stamped on Basic Grey in BB and the I added glitter to the veins of the wings.

The image was cut with Nestabilities ovals, first with the largest oval and then again with the next size down. I then popped the second image exactly over the first and mounted that onto some Red Rose cs.

The back layer is made up of the 3 cc colors and 2 of them punched with a edging pattern. The sentiment is a rub-on.

Hope you like it.....

Today's featured stamper at SCS was JAYMERZ, her gallery was a pleasure to see. This is the card that I chose to case, not a card exactly but a gift box.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1096184?cat=500&ppuser=86928

I have to admit that I had these done last week but they fit Jamie's perfectly.

These are the favors that I've made for my DD's wedding tables.

I used the exact box shape and main design as Jamie's but for the top edges I chose to use a pretty punched edge.

On the backside I used a swirl design bg and a beautiful paper rose. I thought that this would make it pretty from both sides.

The front is done with a Inkadinkado set, the mattings are Nestabilities and the tag sentiment was computer generated.

The bride and groom are first stamped on the Versamark pad and then on Chocolate chip and embossed in CEP.

When Sheila saw these she really loved them and that's what counts.

Stamps: Inkadinkado, Great Impressions bg

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla

Accessories: computer generated sentiment, brad, ribbon, paper roses, CB, Nestabilities, edging punch, tule circles, mint candies, Versamark, clear embossing powder, double sided tape, glue

So what do you think of my wedding favors?

This is the card that I made for today's challenge at the Stampin'B's Designteam blogspot.

Visit us at: www.stampinbsdesignteam.blogspot.com

There is a challenge every Friday for everyone to participate in, so come and have some fun.....

I made this card to use with my DD's wedding gift, she is getting married in June.

The paper is Bazzill in a dark chocolate and a cream, I found the pretty pressed and die cut flower basket at the local dollar store and thought it was perfect. This is a very CAS card , I used some Nesties in the square shape for my baskets matting and used some tiny chocolate pearls as accents on the flowers and the matting. To finish I added some nice fibers that I threaded onto the punched corners.

Hope you like and I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend.

I love this Hedgie image called Hedgehog Bouquet by Penny Black and thought it would be perfect for today's SCS SC224 challenge.
I love the simplicity of today's sketch.
The image was stamped with Palette Noir 3 times and certain sections of the pink daisies were line cut and later popped up.
The coloring was done with Copic markers "I'm really starting to get into these wonderful markers".
My base card stock was Pink Pirouette, white/basket weave Bazzil, Green Galore and Whisper White.
I used some MS/crystal fine glitter/brillo on some of the daisies but because of the beautiful sunny day you can't see it on this photo.
I threaded a thin pink ribbon around the bouquet for accent.
The stripes I kept very thin with pink and green ribbon that matches the color scheme.
I hope you like this one, I do.
I will send this little cutie to my cousin Nicole who is still very sick with not much hope in sight.

I found this beautiful botanical print dp by Hanna Griffin Inc and knew it would be perfect for my DMIL's Mother's Day card.
Today's colors were: So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Borderding Blue
I did not use a stamp for the sentiment but a gorgeous rub-on.
I used a peircing tool to pierce the outside border of the BB matt.
For the ribbon, I punched 2 hole in the main part of the card, threaded the ribbon and then slipped in the back matting. You only see a tiny piece of the ribbon on the BB matt but I think it looks nice.
As you can see this is a brand new adventure for me and this is my first time posting a card. I hope to be here on a regular basis.
You might have noticed by now that I've accepted to be a member of the design team for the Stampin' B's. I'm very excited and I am thrilled to have been asked.
There will be a new challenge posted at the Stampin' B's blog every Friday morning and I sure hope that you will play along.
So come and visit us at www.stampinbsdesignteam.blogspot.com
I think this will be enough chattering for one day.
Nicole
