BE_SC237_Of the Earth_The Greatest Gift

This is my card for today's SC237 challenge at SCS.
For the main image, sentiment and side panels I used a set that is new to me called Of The Earth by SU.
The colors that I chose for my card are Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa.
The main layer image was stamped in a shadow style, the first stamping was done in Sand and the second in Chocolate Chip using a stamp-a-magig.
For the second layer I used an embossing folder by SU called Elegant Bouquet and I used the reverse side up. I stamped my sentiment at the top of this layer.
To finish I added some CC brads on the main image panel. Nothing complicated just Clean and Simple.
I hope you like this one, I love the clean lines of this sketch.

BE_TLC229_Creative Design Boutique_Faux Grid Card

I hope that everyone had a terrific weekend, mine was busy with baby showers and bbq's.
This is my card for today's SCS_TLC229 challenge. We are to make a Faux Grid card.

For my card I'm using a cute clear stamp set by Creative Design Boutique/Rita Marie callenged
Make a Wish.
I spaced my grids one inch apart. I didn't have grid paper like they showed in the video so I just slipped my paper in my cutterbee and instead of cutting the lines I just marked them off with a pencil, I found this was really quick and very efficient.
I stamped the images randomly and colored them with Copic markers. I then used the Copics to color in the squared with different colors but in the same family.
Were there was no image in the joining squares I added some small brads in the same colors.
The bg pape is Pixie Pink and Bordering Blue, to finish I added a narrow yellow gingham ribbon.

I hope you like it, I had loads of fun doing it.
Hugs always, Nicole

BE_CAS22_Words to Live By_Creative Design Boutique

I think I'm starting to get the concept of making a Clean and Simple card.
I think....LOL
This is the card that I made for today's SCS_CAS22 challenge make a Birthday card.
I used an images and sentiment clear stamp set from Creative Desing Boutique called Words to Live By that you can find here: http://www.creativescrapboutique.com/
I colored the flowers with SU markers in Blush Blossom and Almost Amethyst and the leaves in Old Olive.
I then used a glue pen and added some glitter, unfortunately the glitter did not show up on the photo very well. It does looks awesome IRL.
To keep this simple I just added a pretty pink dotted ribbon.
I hope you like it and that I succeeded to keep it clean and simple.
Hugs, Nicole

BE_TLC228_For Creative Design Boutique

This is my card for todays SCS_TLC228 Challenge_Stand Up Card.

Good morning, I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend filled with Sunshine.

For this card I used images/Violet Garden and papers/Make a wish_Plaid by Creative Design Boutique. You can find these beautiful images and papers at: http://www.creativescrapboutique.com/

Today's challenge is to make a Stand Up Card, here is the tutorial and template: http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c191/d0npen/Card%20Templates/?action=view&current=StandUpCardtemplate.jpg

I colored the pretty flowers with Prisma pencils and gamsol, to the center of each flower I added some Stickles in a gold color. I then used the larges Oval Nestie that I have and traced a fine pencil line in the inner part of the oval die. I cut the oval leaving parts of the flower and leaves to sit out of the box. I used my CB and cut a plain oval Nestie in Pink Passion and a scalloped Nestied in Pretty in Pink. When assembling these I popped up the flower oval on dimensionals.

The bg is made up of a gorgeous pink, yellow and blue Plaid dp by Creative Design Boutique. The stand up folding part is Summer Sun. I added a pretty pale pink ribbon to finish my card.

Thanks for coming by and I hope to see you again.

Hugs, Nicole

BE_Stampin'B's Friday "Follow the List" Challenge for July 03/09

This is my my card for the SCS IC187 which was to use posters as inspirations.
This is the poster that I chose for mine http://www.posters.com/pv-444755_Poppies.html
I used a photo that reminded me of the Poem Flander's Field, this poem speaks of the soldiers that are lost in the war and that every poppy represents a fallen soldier and that we must never forget.
I printed the image onto WW cs then mounted this image onto Ruby Red. At the bottom of this Ruby Red matt I used a border die by Spellbinders which allows you to cut, emboss and pierce the desing. I think it looks terrific. The first panel is Old Olive which I popped-up my main panel with dimensionals.
I really love the way this one came out. REMEMBER!

This is my card for Friday July 03/09 challenge. The challenge is hosted by Faith today and it's to use metal somewhere on our card.

I am sorry for being so late posting this challenge card. There has been a lot of family stuff going on that has kept me busy.

This is an adorable little set by Sweet n Sassy called "Make a Wish". you can find this set at. http://www.sweetnsassystamps.biz/shop/

I stamped the owl in Chocolate Chip ink then colored him with SU markers. I then stamped the image again on a piece of textured brown cs and cut out and pasted the tummy part.

The image was then mounted onto Nestabilities circles cut from River Rock which I left on the die and sponged on some Purely Pomegranate for contrast, the scallops in Chocolate Chip and Purely Pomegrante.

This is where the metal came into play, I used it to hold my main circle to my card. I thought these brackets were so cute because the were shaped like little leaves.

For the bg I used River Rock and Purely Pomegranate and finished by making a sentiment using the same "Make a Whish" set onto River Rock and matting it in Purely Pomegranate.

I punched a small hole, threaded a thin simple Pomegranate colored ribbon and tied to the card.

I hope you like him, he's so sweet and makes a great masculine BD card.

Hugs always, Nicole
